EVENTS
The joy of music lies, above all, in performing in front of others!
Watching the children discuss among themselves which songs they want to play, decide on the order of the songs, and plan the MC parts as they create their own stage is truly inspiring.
Furthermore, since they are organizing everything themselves, if a younger child occasionally gets lost or confused, other members step in to help.
As the child wishes, on stage performance is available right away!
We are invited to perform at local events held three to four times a year. Playing Okinawan folk songs is always very well received and brings a lot of joy.
REHEARSAL
We practice on Saturdays at the Kitamae Community Center in Chatan Town (with one Saturday off each month). We focus on learning new songs, playing together, and practicing reading music and listening skills, all while emphasizing the element of “play.” During breaks, we often play tag and other games, cherishing the children’s sense of “fun.”
When tackling a new and challenging song, or when something is unclear, we can get help from friends who have more experience.
